My present research lies at the intersection of literary theory, psychoanalysis, postcolonial studies, and philosophy, with a sustained focus on the Lacanian Real/void, minor literature, ideology, and subversion. I theorize literature not as representation or ideological instrument but as an eruption of the Real—a site where freedom, surplus jouissance, and the limits of symbolization become visible. My recent work offers psychoanalytic readings of Indian English fiction, including The White Tiger and Booker Prize–winning novels, reconceptualizing postcolonial exoticism, revolution, and liberation beyond instrumental politics. My current research further expands psychoanalysis through mysticism and non-Western epistemologies, particularly through comparative engagements between Lacanian theory, Sufism, and Quranic models of the psyche (nafs, qalb, aql, ruh).
