An accomplished academic, I serve as Associate Professor and Coordinator in the PG Department of English, North Campus, University of Kashmir, where I am deeply committed to advancing academic excellence and nurturing critical, intellectual engagement among students. My teaching spans a wide range of core and specialized areas, including Psychoanalysis, British and Postmodern Fiction, Literary Theory, Indian Writing in English, and English Language Teaching (ELT), delivered through dynamic lectures, interactive seminars, and research-oriented pedagogical practices.
A central dimension of my academic role involves mentoring postgraduate students and research scholars, supporting them in developing rigorous scholarly skills, theoretical clarity, and original research perspectives. My sustained engagement with research is reflected in scholarly publications and editorial contributions that meaningfully enrich the field of English studies. As an author and editor, my notable works include A Lacanian Reading of R. K. Narayan’s Novels, Christian Missionaries: Their Role in the Development of English in J & K State, The Biographical Encyclopedia of Great Women Writers in English Literature, and Sultanul-Arifeen: Spiritual Epitome of Kashmir, which collectively demonstrate my interdisciplinary interests across literary theory, gender studies, cultural criticism, and regional spirituality.
Beyond teaching and research, I actively promote institutional collaborations and scholarly networks, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, collaborative research initiatives, and academic exchange at national and international levels. My overarching objective is to inspire and empower students and scholars, while contributing to the sustained growth and advancement of English literature and language studies through teaching excellence, rigorous research, and meaningful engagement with the global academic community.
