NSS Wing North Campus University of Kashmir in collaboration with District Administration Baramulla organized a special awareness programme about Drug De-Addiction to curb the menace of drug abuse. Under the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the programme aimed at understanding the multiple aspects of the social evil and the ways and measures to combat the problem. Resource person from Department of Health, Social Welfare, Police and Rehabilitation Services offered their valuable insights for awareness of the audience and the urgency to act sensibly to address the burning issue of drug addiction.A Short documentary highlighting the complexity and the detrimental effects of drug addiction was an eye opener for the auidence to realize the extent and harmful impact of drug addiction among youth. Dr. Sheikh Ghulam Mohammad -Director  North Campus administered pleadge among the participants aimed at adherence to healthy life style and refraining from all forms of temptations and traps of drug addiction.
